A “Content Management System” or CMS is essentially a system created for the purpose of organising and displaying your information on the web in an organised fashion.

Open Source means that we can access all of the code and tweak anything we need to.

Drupal Features
Drupal was created with a modular design and is maintained by hundreds of people all over the world who are constantly testing and creating new modules to work within the Drupal framework. This means that you have an incredibly robust basic system and a wide variety of additional features that can very easily be ‘plugged into’ the system. There are modules to allow polls, blogs, online stores (ecommerce), FAQ areas, search functionality and much more.

Different user levels can be set up within the structure. Each level can be given a different set of permissions to allow for maximum flexibility. Individual users can be responsible for their own content and can update their content easily using WYSWIG editors.

Various analysis, tracking and statistics options are available including a basic Drupal built in statistics option.
